Zvezda project is implemented based on the Far Eastern Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Center and Zvezda Far East Plant. The shipyard will produce vessels with a displacement of up to 350 thousand tons. The planned processing capacity of the shipyard is up to 330 thousand tons of steel per year. Stage I (2017): hull production facilities, painting booths, and a heavy outfitting slip were put into operation. The construction of the second stage (until 2024) is underway - a dry dock (allows to build vessels and ships without limiting the tonnage and launching weight of hulls), outfitting shops, and embankments. The operator of the project is JSC "Modern technologies of shipbuilding." Commissioning of the entire complex is scheduled for 2024. The production program is developed until 2035 and includes 178 ships and marine equipment of various types. A metallurgical plant with a capacity of 1.5 million tons of steel and pipe products per year will be built to ensure the operation of the shipyard.
