The project envisages the comprehensive development of cotton and textile production, including the mechanization of cotton cultivation processes and arranging the processing of raw cotton and cotton fiber based on Indorama Kokand Textile, an Uzbek-Singapore joint venture. The expected increase in crop yield: in Kashkadarya Region – from 24 to 45 centners per hectare, in Syrdarya region – from 21 to 37.5 centners per hectare. Planned capacity: 261 thousand tonnes of raw cotton, 200 thousand tonnes of corn, 89 thousand tonnes of cotton fiber, 134 thousand tonnes of cotton seeds, 7 thousand tonnes of cotton lint, 25 thousand tonnes of cotton yarn. Investors: International Finance Corporation ($60 million), European Bank for Reconstruction and Development ($70 million), Indorama Holdings B.V.
