Comment

The project aims to upgrade the transport system in Yerevan: the creation of Yerevan Municipal Transport Company, renewal of the bus fleet, implementation of an electronic fare collection system, renovation of two stations, construction of a new bus parking station, etc. The project envisages the purchase of 850 buses, including 100 12-meter buses, 211 8.6-meter buses, and 100 units of compact-class buses. The new transport network is planned to cover 42 routes. The project was developed by WYG International Limited. Financing of the first phase: loan and grant from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development for the purchase of 100 12-meter CNG fueled buses ($25 million). It is planned to raise funds from the state budget of Armenia.
