The project for upgrading distribution networks and substations is aimed at replacing overhead and cable lines, connecting new consumers to the network, installing electricity meters, and introducing an automated commercial metering and electricity management system. The project also involves the construction of three substations. Originator, operator: CJSC Elektroseti Armenii (Electric Networks of Armenia) Stage I: 2016–2020, cost: $206 million Stage II: cost: $500 million; it includes the modernization of the distribution network and equipment, cable rehabilitation, as well as accurate electricity metering and loss determination.
